Why is R. Yitz Greenberg considered to the left of the orthodox left?
My article on his intellectual biography, published in Modern Judaism, uses archival material to explore his earliest writings never discussed previously. It also offers that Thomas Kuhn's theory of paradigm shift in scientific revolutions is relevant to understanding Greenberg's reception within the orthodox community.
The article is available online in this link.
Rabbi Greenberg read this article and said: a. he didn't remember the poem I quoted which he wrote when he was about 19(!). b. He was, as I claim, influenced by Thomas Kuhn's book.
